We designed our cabinets to be fine furniture. Just push them in place and you have an elegant cabinet or window seat replacing the radiator. Because there are no backsides you will have easy access to make any necessary heat adjustments.
Soft wood is our standard material when staining; however, we can build our cabinets in quarter-sawn oak, maple, cherry and Honduras mahogany for an additional charge. Our painted cabinets are built in poplar.
The tops of our cabinets are equipped with a ½ inch foil-backed insulation, directing the heat into the room and away from cold surfaces. This also helps it to remain at room temperature so you can put your belongings on it without concern. By the way, our cabinets are strong enough to sit on! Window seats are a common use.
We offer a variety of paint and stain options and can also match any Benjamin Moore color.
Styling
The classic, straight lines of our Prairie, Shaker and Traditional Cabinets reflect the straight lines in any room, in any style home. Interior designers describe our cabinets as neutral because they match the lines of a room, remaining separate from the furniture in the room but not in conflict with it. While each of our cabinets is similar in many ways, there are subtle differences designed to serve different settings.
Durability
Our cabinets will look great 30 years from now with the proper care. To ensure the long life of every cabinet we build, we have considered every aspect of construction. Proper joinery assures a strong and lasting fit. To eliminate warping the top and end panels are made of selected wood veneers laid over medium-dense fiber core (MDF). Everything else is solid wood (slats, rails, trim and feet).
*We chose to work with MDF because of its ability to stand up to the heat of steam radiators without warping. Given the extreme durability of MDF, we are able to provide you with a 1-year warranty against heat-related damage.

About Our PTAC & Fan Coil Covers:
We’ve worked on covering PTAC and Fan Coil systems from the very beginning. In 2005 we decided to start broadening our reach when we showed our products at the International Hotel/Motel and Restaurant Show in New York. There we were introduced to a determined group of boutique hotel owners who were in search of an improved look. Given our prior experience, we knew we were up to the task.
After jumping through hoops to get our products approved for use by one of the largest PTAC manufacturers, we are proud to say that we passed with flying colors! In addition to having worked with homeowners, we have now also worked to cover some of the largest hotel chains out there such as Marriott, Hilton Hotel and Holiday Inn, to name just a few.
It goes without saying that our PTAC and Fan Coil covers are built by the same group of Mennonite cabinetmakers we’ve worked exclusively with for the last 20 years.
